Pasta Puttanesca Recipe
I’m sure you’re wondering why I’m putting a recipe like Pasta Puttanesca up on my blog. It seems like I’ve been creating a lot of content involving complex Asian dishes so I’ve gone back to basics. A staple in my kitchen is canned anchovies. I love the salty and earthy flavour. Combined with black olives, these anchovies really elevate this simple pasta dish.

Ingredients
- 1 pound spaghetti
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup kalamata olives
- 4 anchovy fillets
- 1/4 cup capers
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 garlic cloves
Directions
- Step 1 Cook pasta in a boiling pot of water until al dente. Set aside.
- Step 2 In a skillet, heat olive oil and cook the garlic, tomatoes, anchovy fillets, olives and capers. Bring to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes
- Step 3 Add the cooked spaghetti into the tomato sauce
- Step 4 Garnish with parsley
