It’s no secret that I love pasta. I wanted something simple but full of rich flavours for a cold, Sunday night. This Cannelloni Bake fills my stomach – and I get to bring it for lunch the next day.
Ingredients
- 8 oz cannelloni shells (you can buy them at the store or make them from scratch like me)
- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 cup marinara sauce
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon peppercorn flakes
- 2 eggs
- 475 g ricotta cheese
- 1 cup cheddar cheese
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup shredded Parmesan Reggiano
- 1 teaspoon of Alfredo sauce for extra flavour
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Marinate ground beef in Worcestershire sauce, peppercorn flakes for 1 hour
- Cook ground beef in frying pan until brown
- Mix the ground beef with 2 eggs, ricotta cheese, salt and pepper
- Spoon mixture into a piping bag or Ziploc bag and cut 1/2 corner off the bag
- Cook cannelloni shells until al dente
- Let the cannelloni shells cool before stuffing them with the ground beef mixture
- Place the cannelloni into a baking dish lined with tin foil
- Spread marinara sauce, cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese and Parmesan Reggiano on top
- Cook in over for 30 minutes at 375 degrees until golden brown
- Top with alfredo sauce
Pair with Pinot Noir and you have a delicious meal!
