Cannelloni Bake

Cannelloni Bake

It’s no secret that I love pasta. I wanted something simple but full of rich flavours for a cold, Sunday night. This Cannelloni Bake fills my stomach – and  I get to bring it for lunch the next day.

  • 8 oz cannelloni shells (you can buy them at the store or make them from scratch like me)
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon peppercorn flakes
  • 2 eggs
  • 475 g ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Parmesan Reggiano
  • 1 teaspoon of Alfredo sauce for extra flavour
  • Salt and pepper to taste

  1. Marinate ground beef in Worcestershire sauce, peppercorn flakes for 1 hour
  2. Cook ground beef in frying pan until brown
  3. Mix the ground beef with 2 eggs, ricotta cheese, salt and pepper
  4. Spoon mixture into a piping bag or Ziploc bag and cut 1/2 corner off the bag
  5. Cook cannelloni shells until al dente
  6. Let the cannelloni shells cool before stuffing them with the ground beef mixture
  7. Place the cannelloni into a baking dish lined with tin foil
  8. Spread marinara sauce, cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese and Parmesan Reggiano on top
  9. Cook in over for 30 minutes at 375 degrees until golden brown
  10. Top with alfredo sauce
